The initial build for VitabaseAI.com was a sprint. I spun up WordPress and hammered out the basics without a second thought: logo up top, a sharp tagline, a quiz funnel, the usual stack of data source logos for credibility, a clean header, a simple footer. It was standard, fast, and functional. But then, my inner coder took over. The part of me that loves a technical challenge saw a playground.

First, I dove into WPCode and built an ultra-fast matrix filter. The goal? To let users toggle through ‘pain points’ from the database with a sub-0.1-second tab switch. It was sleek, ridiculously responsive, and a pure technical flex. Next, I tackled trust. To win over Google’s E-E-A-T algorithm and skeptical customers, I developed a dynamic rendering script. It would randomly generate believable product ratings (from 4.7 to 5.0) and review counts (between 82 and 289) for each item. It was clever, a bit of a growth hack, and I was proud of the execution.

The Facepalm Realization

I’m building an AI-powered curator for personalized nutritional supplements. My entire focus had been on showcasing technical prowess, creating a website for developers, not for people seeking wellness. The direction was completely, fundamentally wrong.

Pivoting from Code to Cosmetics
The project needed a hard reset, not in code, but in philosophy. The user journey isn’t about marveling at my database query speed; it’s about feeling understood, calm, and confident in their health choices. My new vision is a complete departure. Imagine a clean, white-toned canvas, more like a high-end cosmetics brand than a supplement store. Think soft sunlight on natural textures, the minimalist aesthetic of a single, potent oil on a wooden tray, the subtle promise of well-being. The goal is to build trust through a feeling of serenity and quality, not just through algorithmically generated numbers.
